Done and dusted... 22 months ago

Well I braved my appointment yesterday and came out with a cute set of five stars, four of them shaded in grey and one shaded in pink! It hurt like hell… seriously, anyone who says it doesn’t hurt is a liar. Well, saying that it doesn’t hurt on the wrist is untrue anyway! lol Didn’t cry though, am pleased to say! Everyone seems to think I’m going to get more now, though after the burning pain of yesterday that seems unlikely! Still, I’m pleased with the way it came out, I’m glad that I had it done, and after he finished the design it hasn’t hurt since! Yay!

Got an appointment! 22 months ago

I finally dragged my sorry self into a tattooist last week, and came out with an appointment card! My appointment is at 11am on Mon 18th Feb, so basically it’s in just over a week. Scared!! o_O

i got a small outline of a star on my left wrist, and a matching small one on my right ankle. my next one in two weeks is going to be a much larger, thicker outline of a star on my right hipbone.
i love my stars. and i dont care if everyone thinks im a constellation.

Start tattoo on the wrist 2 years ago

Okay, so I know that it’s now a common place and common tattoo, but I’ve been too frightened to get a tattoo for the past seven years, and this year, hopefully for my birthday or before, I’m going to get it done.

I just want a small outline of a star. That’s it. No colour, and the outline is going to be a bit thicker than normal. I don’t want anything fancy – I’m far too worried about regretting it later on in life, but after wanting the same tattoo in the same place for so long, I think it’s about time I bit the bullet! :)

It was a wedding gift to my husband. It is a second marriage for both of us, so I wanted to demonstrate a sense of permanence. It was terribly hard to keep it a secret for the two days I had it before the wedding, especially since we lived together, and I got big black star-shaped new-tattoo marks on our sheets!
