D’oh! (Translation: It really was a great movie!)
at Odeon cinema, with Adam. I’d wanted to see it at the cinema for awhile (since I first heard about it actually). It was good, pretty funny.
In my opinion the film wasn’t a bad movie – it had a few laughs here and there, but as a big old time Simpsons fan I have to admit the film was disappointing.
Mysteriously the brilliant producers and screenwriters of the show decided to “dumb down” the plot by and creating a film which seems to be aimed for the current 10 year old fans of the show instead of making it the brilliant and witty peak of the TV series which it should have been – which makes one wonder what was Fox’s main reason for making this movie was.
At the beginning of the film Homer addresses the audience and calls us all suckers – it’s funny because it’s true.
I would advise all the adult fans of the series to wait a few months for the DVD.
Lynise is BACK!
well i went to go see the movie for the second time today. and i will tell you that i never ever go and see a movie twice. But since htis movie rocked i was happy to go see it again. I cannot wait until it comes out on video to see it wheneveri want!
Oh my god, that movie was hilarious! Go see the movie, there’s some scenes where I couldn’t stop laughing. Like where Homer was in the sink hole, and there’s some other random scenes that were hilarious!
Lynise is BACK!
Holy crap this movie was hilarious. I’ve been watching it all these years, and i am sad to see it go. But this movie was a good way to leave. you MUST go see it.
I’ve been watching The Simpsons since forever, so I definitely had to go to a midnight showing! We went to a movie theater that was already sold out, but a lot of people were still coming and asking for tickets. The theater workers told everyone to stay because they might open up another room to show another screening, which they did so the theater wasn’t as packed.
There were several scenes in the movie that were very funny, but my favorite was when Homer was going down the sink hole! There are also Simpsons TV episodes that were funnier than the movie, but I would still suggest watching the movie if you are a fan (how could you not). Stay until the cast and credits are done too!
