Been volunteering for a year and a half – I have so much fun with my Little, she’s a great kid. Highly recommended – especially for guys as there is a huge waiting list for little boys to get big brothers.

I have a job that keeps me very busy from February through April. I’m recently married and my wife and I own a 1920 Bungalow that we enjoy remodeling/improving. I’m a fairly busy person, but who isn’t? I feel I’m a competent, responsible and good natured person and have been interested in becoming a big brother for years now. I’m 27 years old. I’m looking for advice and information on how much time I’ll need to invest to be a good big brother and anything anyone can offer.
Thanks,
Justin
I volunteered and went in for my interview awhile ago! Now I’m just waiting on a match! I’m excited to work with someone…wish me luck!
Fred is going to be productive today!
...what the criteria are for selection of the “bigs”? Would they have a problem with my not being religious?
Not an easy thing, and took a lot of time, but I’m glad I did it. Wish I would have done it earlier in my life.
When I was living in Denver, I decided to become a Big Sister. My match (Rochel) and I were a part of the program for 1 year. After that time we decided to maintain our relationship outside of the program. I eventually moved away from Denver, but she and I have maintained contact. I think our friendship had a positive impact on us both…and she taught me so many wonderful lessons. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
