SanguineSort considers you all important members of her cyber-secondary group
I finally got my stupid transcript from the irs so I can do it now. woot woot!
How I did it: Painfully boring.
I got all my paperwork together and had a long call with my mom... for no reason because she is not helping me pay for anything. But you know how that goes you under-25-year-olds-who-live-on-your-own-but-still-are-considered-children-to-the-department-of-education-despite-your-financially-independent-status. ::inhale::
yeah. Its pretty much a big steaming pile of bullshit.

I did it finally.
I am so proud of myself.
It takes energy to complete tasks. I overestimated the amount of energy and time it would take to fill out a FAFSA form online. Filling out the form required less stress than I had anticipated. everything worked out fine. So far…..
I will fill out what I need to fill out in order to get this process under way. That and cleaning the house up a bit are my two goals to accomplish. Hopefully I can manage that as I am feeling a bit lazy.

And boy am I glad. They ask you for so many details. Might as well take a DNA test. If you financial actions were marked in your genes I am sure they would.
Now I just have to wait for the money to roll in… I sure hope it does.

It will all be worth it when that sweet refund comes in the mail.

Christian called two of his many employers to track down the last of our W2’s. One was emailed today. The other will give him info over the phone tomorrow. Got my investment info.
Can complete our taxes and FAFSA tomorrow.
Neither of my parents have done their taxes so I will have to call Columbia and see if I can reconcile the issue.

I am so sick of all this application stuff. It just goes on and on and each school is so particular. It will be a miracle if I don’t disqualify myself by missing one of the many hoops to jump through.
Just found out that Columbia expects a copy of my, my husbands, and my parents 2007 tax returns – regardless of my dependency status – by Feb 15th. Yeah right! Even if I had asked them in time it seems like a lot to ask.

Got all the forms from our employees. Will know this out over the weekend.

I want to do these all at once and get it over with. Probably need to do a FASA. Don’t even remember what that entails.
I should have had this done already. (I am applying for Spring semester, didn’t attend in the fall) And would have if I didn’t need to claim my mothers information. Which is really stupid considering I’ve spent the last 2 years living 2500 miles away from her not relying on her for any type of financial support. But back to the point of this entry, based on the different time zones and my work schedule I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with my mom while sitting in front of a computer to get all the information off her tax returns.
Argh I thought this would be a nice easy goal to complete.
