Like seriously, not much substance – very depressing. No wonder I never picked up reading news much. On a separate note, apparently it snowed in Adelaide last night. 7 months ago

i’ve not been an avid news reader but since coming home to malaysia and with ample of time, i actually manage to pull up the newspaper and read it while having my morning breakfast. suprisingly, i never did read news online and it’s not half as fun as reaching the comic session (as always). grinz7 months ago
i should subscribe to the week again. i used to have a subscription at cornell and really loved it because it had a nice summary of pretty much everything that had happened that week, as well as summaries on what the different news organizations said about it… i always thought it did a good job at staying neutral and presenting the news from more than one side of the story (quoting multiple sources, including liberal, conservative, religious, etc) i know i won’t be around for a whole year but i think i would really benefit from doing this. idk why but it’s always been hard for me to keep up with the news every day… the week always made it easy and interesting 20 months ago
As many different papers/publications as I can, from as many different perspectives as possible, and on as many levels as possible (local, regional, national, global). Because ALL news is biased… and ALL media have an agenda, whether intentionally or not. My democratic friends may scoff that I watch FOX news, but if so, they are the ones at a loss for being ignorant. The point is not to watch only the publications that agree with your point of view… the point is to get as many points of view as possible and make an educated decision about what your point of view is. 23 months ago
