XxRicaxX has her licence!
A long time ago, I received an offer from a good friend, who owns a recording studio, to record a whole demo of my own music for free. Of course, I accepted, and ever since, I got lessons in singing and composing. Right now, 4 of my songs are close to finished.
And today, we finally started recording! We’ve got the piano instrumental part of the first song down, and next time, we’ll work on the bass line and vocals. It’s going to be amazing! I really can’t wait until my demo is done, I’ve got a crazy good feeling about it :)
I’ve figured out that Sundays are my best bet to get this thing done.
My drummer, who knows my songs, is ready to do it. And he has some friends who are willing to help us record it.
Initial recording should start in a few weeks.
Then mixing and mastering.
I should be able to get this done before Christmas, which would be nice.
I have the music written. I just need to get into a studio and finish what i started years back. And them move on to the next one.
I will start recording my album in the middle of February. I have written a mixture of songs with a 70’s flavor which are a bit rocky, bluesy etc etc., and have a lot of interest from Nashville to the home demos I’ve done. Whatever happens, I will go the USA and promote my stuff there. In England music is a joke now.
I’ve been lucky enough to have publishing/record deals with various people such as Sony (UK) and EMI, but am sick of useless people telling me what to do – this will be totally my own project.
