Never been bold (or rich) enough for this one but am aching to try it out. There’s something very romantic in it

Saturday I received my passport, and Monday my husband got his, although we went together to turn in the paperwork. A week later we got our birth certificates back. Yay!

Passport Tips 4 months ago

If you are not going to a Passport Agency, what you need to know is: The Acceptance Agency mails your payment and all your paperwork. So either write a check or get a money order for $75, and pay the processing fee of $25 in cash. Where ever you go it might be a bit different, and this is only for the United States. Knowing that would have saved me from having to leave to get a Money Order, and then come back to get in line again. Also have a Drivers License and your Birth Certificate. They take the Birth Certificate, and will mail it back to you in a different envelope from your passport. If you can, type out the document so there will be no problems in deciphering your messy handwriting. Good Luck!

Getting a Passport 5 months ago

Well, first things first, get the Passport. Try Here to find the pdf and fill it out. If you type it up, it will go through the system faster. Take/get pictures with all the correct requirements, (information on that is lower on the same page) and then find an Acceptance Agency or a Passport Agency. A Passport Agency would be faster, but there are not a lot of them. Bring everything you need to turn in, and within 6 weeks or so, you should have a passport mailed to you. Me, I’m still working on getting the pictures.
