Well, ok, I’ve gone snorkeling before. I don’t really know what I mean by this one. I mean, I would like to go snorkeling in the Caribbean sense. Crystal clear water. Bright big little fishies. Mm, somewhat contrived little reef formations. LOL Uh. Yeah.

How I did it: I booked a tour excursion to go snorkeling for my 30th birthday while on vacation at the La Romana resort in the Dominican Republic. I got to go snorkeling for 45 mins in a coral reef in la Romana and then we took a boat to an island called Catalina where I got to go snrokeling again. It was an amazing time! Read how I did it…
How I did it: While on vacation in Mexico I took a side trip that the resort offered was a little cruise on a boat out to an island and snorkeling was included. I brought my underwater camera and took pics of the fish, it was really fun. Next up, going scuba diving. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I got a good mask, fins, and snorkel. Though I like to scuba dive, I also like to stay at hotels on various beaches so that I can put on my snorkel and look around me whenever I have the inkling to do so. Read how I did it…
How I did it: During my vacation in the carribean, i first attempted snorkeling just off my resort's beach. It was nice - safe, shallow, and I saw a few shells as well as a fish. The next day, I took a catamaran out to this amazing coral reef and did REAL snorkeling. I saw schools of fish - amazing fish. i went this year while i was in australia at the great barrier reef! it was amazing, best experience of my holiday!
I went snorkelling in Thailand for the first time and loved it. I kept going in the water for more. I even saw a shark, granted it was small, far away and swimming away from me, but still scared the crap out of me.
i love water. i’m almost 99% water. i may grow fins by the end of this month. i am one with the Darwin fish. Snorkel!

I did this in the Caribbean with hundreds of sting rays swimming around. It was amazing, as they’d swim right over top of you, and I was somehow talked into kissing one of them. (Probably said too much there)
This was also after the tragic Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter death by sting ray. So that pretty much makes me the bravest man in the world.
...Or stupidest. I can’t tell the difference really.

but it is a little bit more involved than I had anticipated.
I did this about a year ago and it wasn’t that exciting because it was just in a lake and all I saw were small fishies. I borrowed someone else’s snorkeling stuff then, but now I have my own snorkel gear and I may be snorkeling very soon in a reef. I’ve seen some people snorkeling in La Jolla cove too, so I’d like to go there as well.
