Sharm el Sheikh  — 3 months ago

I went snorkeling in the Red Sea at Sharm el Sheikh. If I’d had training in scuba diving, I would have rather done that. But the snorkeling was great with so much to see. We were instructed to float carefully over a coral reef to avoid getting stung. I watched a group of tourists do just that, but it was easy to spot the ones who didn’t hold still because of their bout of jerks and spasms – nothing serious. I made sure I floated as still as the dead! It was definitely worth doing! Such clear water and colorful underwater life.

I went snorkelling in Thailand for the first time and loved it. I kept going in the water for more. I even saw a shark, granted it was small, far away and swimming away from me, but still scared the crap out of me.

I’ve never even been in the ocean, so this is a big goal of mine.

Swimming with the most dangerous animal in the world!!!  — 8 months ago

Worth doing!

I did this in the Caribbean with hundreds of sting rays swimming around. It was amazing, as they’d swim right over top of you, and I was somehow talked into kissing one of them. (Probably said too much there)

This was also after the tragic Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter death by sting ray. So that pretty much makes me the bravest man in the world.

...Or stupidest. I can’t tell the difference really.

Worth doing!

I did this about a year ago and it wasn’t that exciting because it was just in a lake and all I saw were small fishies. I borrowed someone else’s snorkeling stuff then, but now I have my own snorkel gear and I may be snorkeling very soon in a reef. I’ve seen some people snorkeling in La Jolla cove too, so I’d like to go there as well.

I fell so deeply in love with the underwater world...  — 11 months ago

Worth doing!

...accessible to me only by snorkelling and submarine (I’m not allowed to scuba dive due to an asthma-like condition) that when I die, I’ve asked to be cremated and to have my ashes scattered “under de sea dere.”

Snorkling!!!!  — 11 months ago

Worth doing!

Snorkiling is sooo much fun! If you are ever givent h opportuntiy to do, then accept it! When you jump into the ocean to look at everything below the surface, you jump into another world. What you see down there is every day life for the creatures that live there. Most of them are used to having these things with big ugly goggles looking down at them. Even though, they are used to having you there, doesn’t mean that you can touch them!!! Ummmm so if you end up seeing a shark, I really would not advise you to go up and start rubbing it’s belly like you do to your dog. It probably won’t like that. When I was like 12 er 11, I was snorkling in the Turks and Cacois and my dad was too, right besdie me. He told me to look straight down. About 15-20 ft. below me was a 6ft. nurse shark. It was just resting at the bottem, but my family and I still went back on the boat, just so that we could let the shark know that we weren’t trying to invade it’s territory. I also saw 7 baby squid swimming below me as well. That was cool! So, when your out snrokling, be careful not to touch anything or provoke and creature down there. But also remember: bring lots of under water cameras!!!!!!!!!!<3
