beatricek is keeping track of her expenses for her budget---going well!
For the next two years the crown of the Statue of Liberty will be open to public visitors. After those two years it will be closed again for further renovations until further notice. I want to visit the Statue of Liberty and to be inside the crown.
On the news, one visitor said that the view wasn’t that impressive but just the fact that she got to be up there was cool.
I’m deathly afraid of heights, and even more afraid of water, so this will be an opportunity to triumph over those fears.

I’ve lived in NYC for 9 years now, I’ve never been to the statue!! I’m moving to a different state next month, so will have to do this in the next few weeks.

It’s a shame that I’ve been in NYC for OVER a year and still haven’t been to the Statue of Liberty! So gotta make some plans to do that before it gets too cold. Deep down in my heart I don’t feel my time in New York will be complete if I don’t visit. Maybe the weekend after next….

Viewing the Statue of Liberty was a dream come true! It was magnificent although it was hotter than Hades that day! My hotel room overlooked the Statue and that was pretty awesome as well! Could even see the Colgate Clock.
