improve my skiing

Still plenty of improving to be done, but I was measuring this goal on my ski club grading which I received today and has gone up most respectably.

The better I get, the more fun it is and the less effort.

Shame it’s so long til next season.

After some 30 years or so, I have begun to ski again. In December 2006 I went with a friend to Brighton (Utah) Ski Resort for the first time and we have been to Park City several times in January through March. My frustration isn’t with the skiing. The new, shorter, “shaped” skis of today are much easier to use than the ones I learned on years ago. My frustration is with my own lack of strength and stamina. It appears I’ll have more fun skiing next season if I spend more time in the gym this summer!

Only been once (March 06) but planning to go same time next year… could do some basic red runs by the end of the week but plenty of work to put in before I can parallel turn properly

I want to feel comfortable on every terrain and I would like to be able to keep up with my fiancee on the ski slope. I plan to take at least one lesson this year.

been skiing for a week and really want to perfect my parallel turns and start carving up the snow like a pro!
