amazing book! 1 month ago

i had to read it for school, and i’m so glad because i probably wouldn’t have picked it up otherwise and it’s absolutely incredible.
i finished the book in under 36 hours, and it never left my sight in that time period. it even sat in my lap while i took a break from reading to eat meals.
it made me cry more than once but it’s an amazing story. read it, you won’t regret it.

my aunt gave me this book in the summer and i finished it last month…i haven’t read something this good in a long time!
its really deep and meaningful. it mostly reflects on the past. one of my fave parts is in the first chapter when he says
“I became what I am today at the age of twelve…it’s wrong what they say about the past, I’ve learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out.”

I started “The Kite Runner” yesterday. My iPod Touch was nearly out of power and I was stuck on an airplane.

By the time I reached home I had finished the first 100 pages of the book. I like it a lot so far and I am definitely learning a lot about Afghani culture.

I got free tickets today, from a lady at my work, to see the movie.. she got them from a women magazine.. so there was I and my friend in a cinema filled with mostly elderly women.. quite the experience.. they sniffed and cried.. and when the punches started flying they where accopanied by lots of “oh no”s and “my dear”s.. the movie was good.. slow pace, but quite meaningful.. and I went home a bit richer.. and Im not talking about the free-bee bag filled with chocolate, anti-aging products and women reading…
