We are in the process of signing a contract with a company that sells under-priced homes to investors. I’m really hoping that this might lead to a quick sale. If not, we’ll put it back on the market the traditional way.
Is my home waiting for the perfect owner to come along? We have one of those homes that everyone said would sell in 2 weeks. Well, 10 months later it sits. This beautifully restored 1930 Colonial with 2160 Sq Ft, a lovely new kitchen and amazing patio/courtyard—priced well below the county appraisal—I just don’t understand! I know Topeka, KS isn’t the most bustling metropolis—but you’d think there would be someone who would love that place as much as we did… So frustrating!
Worth doing!
We now have an extra week but I don’t know how to change the date…
We are still FREAKED out. We really can’t possibly move and still pay a mortgage here. Dangit. How do you get out of a realtor contract?
Worth doing!
Someone was supposed to come and see the house today but they called and cancelled at the last minute…after we’d cleaned everything top to bottom. AHH!
for sale. It’s on the web and the sign is outside our front door. Several realtors have already been through and it’s been shown at least twice in the past week.
Worth doing!
No one has come to see the house since the first week it was on the market. Time to get on the realtor. I’m getting nervous!
and cleaned. Not as much as A did, but then again, she has a lot more stuff. It’s been an emotional and stressful day. This move is something that makes me happy and sad at the same time, and I find myself moving back and forth between those emotions often. I am more happy than sad about it though. All moves are stressful, I know.
I’ve got the hall closet still to clean out and part of my bathroom. At some point, I need to walk into the kitchen and see what is left because I think she packed up all her dishes, pots, and pans. I have some awesome hot chocolate that can’t be made without a pot.
I was surprised at how much I managed to throw out today. I got rid of a lot of my undergrad schoolwork today and that actually felt pretty freeing.
Worth doing!
We hired a realtor (the one who sold us the house! She’s an awesome Christian lady), cleaned everything up, and the sign’s in the yard! We’ve gotten several phone calls already, and one visit (that was Monday). We have another one scheduled for tonight! AHH! I feel good. The house is in great shape and the price we set is reasonable. Also, we’re the only house in the neighborhood that is for sale through a realty company (two others are but are for sale by owner). We are moving the second week of May so we’d like to have it sold by the time we go…keep us in your prayers!!
