I bought a ticket to PinkPop festival this summer where they were supposed to perform, but unfortunately the concert was canceled.

I saw them awhile back and it was fun. I considered it an accomplishment. Seeing and hearing old songs being performed like Personal Jesus and Shake the Disease was awesome. The new material is pretty great too. It sounds great. Plus they seem like nice guys and had a phenomenal stage show.
I’m proud to say that I was able to go see them way back when, for the Violator tour. It was awesome. “Halo” is still to this day one of my favorite songs.
I hope they don’t dessolve before I get a chance to see them. I’ve been a Depeche Mode fan for 16 years, though not so much now as I used to be in my teens… I still love them. I have to plan where to go, because it’s unlikely they will come to my country… so travel is involved.
if you go to any show, go to a mode show next time they tour, its worth every penny you spend. the chemistry between the members, the atmosphere of the concert halls, and the people you meet at the shows only add up to the excitement of spending time with depeche! i was fortunate to see them twice, and to tell you the truth, i just cant seem to get enough!
...as I had to change my plans and go to a vication to Norway after the current events in Israel .
...last time was Staples Center last November. Six times all told. Brilliant every time—there’s something good to know about a band that will never suck, as it were. And this includes when Dave was ripped out of his head on who knows what (not that I’m saying it helped him).
Great concert. Bad start, but it got better!
“About half way through the concert Martin Gore and David Gahan managed to wake up the audience. Or rather, managed to communicate. As the band’s biggest hits came, people starting jumping, singing and participating. After two extra sets, Depeche Mode ended the concert with a poetic goodnight song. During the two hours, we heard all their biggest hits, and Oslo Spektrum was hot and singing the last 30 minutes of the concert.”
