    Rehearsal is the key -- and newspaper 2 years ago

    That was a silly idea but I decided to learn German by spending some time over there. You can’t imagine how hard it was the first two weeks; I was barely able to order a snack in 10 minutes of talk. What kept me ‘alive’ and on track to learn German was newspapers. Don’t stop reading newspapers. You can take your time, get to know more about the country where you are and the people, and you can study how people should talk.
