I didn’t make more than a little progress on this this week. I see three reasons why. Although I am not supposed to eat sugar and white flour, during the whole month of December I permitted myself a bite here and another there, and now I am paying for it with what I call being over-carbed: headachey, fatigue, brain fog, and feeling low. The second reason is related to the first: I feel hungry almost all the time. I know this is also due to too many carbs in December and now I’m paying the price. The third reason is purely emotional: stress and/or heartache with several of my grown children and the way I am looking at myself as a result. Not good. I know I can overcome this with God’s help, but I do have to focus, and not just put it aside and act like it doesn’t matter. 3 years ago
I want to eat healthy because I am not happy when I do not. Food is not a source of nutrition for me, it is a source of comfort and that is not a way I want to live. I am not overweight, but everyday that I eat poorly I am afraid that I will become overweight, and life would be so much more fun if I would have one less thing to worry about! 3 years ago
I will organize my meals to be nutritious, delicious, and enjoyable. I will savor every bite and thank everyone responsible for providing me with the nurishment. I will take my time and appreciate the rituals of meal time. 5 years ago
