visit my grandparents graves

them very soon. I will bring some flowers and take photos of myself next to them – my parents will like seeing that. I miss my grandpa a lot :(

I have found my maternal grandpa and great grandparents are buried in the same cemetery, my maternal grandma is nowhere to be found, and my paternal grandpa is in a cemetery in the same town, my paternal grandma is still alive.

I have found their plots online and so we will visit them on our way to the beach :)

about and hour drive away. I want to take my husband and stay the night somewhere…they never got to meet him.

I want to go to Italy either this summer or next so that I can visit them, clean off the tomb, and leave flowers on their graves for the first time. I haven’t been there at all yet, and want to tell them how much I miss them.

I have never visited their graves for a few reasons. My grandmother’s grave is not in a safe neighborhood, and I dont want my family to take me there because they will see me cry.
My grandfather’s grave is in a nicer neighborhood, but I haven’t been there yet because I went away to school and only recently came back. I’m afraid to visit them because it will only solidify the knowledge that they are gone.

I haven’t done this in nearly two years now, and even then it had been nearly four years since the last time, but I do like to do this periodically.

Actually, “like” is a strong word, but I just feel that it’s important to do this. They meant a lot to me when they were still alive, and I have to honor them somehow.

alot when I was young. Kind of where we held our family reunions. I miss going to their graves, but now I live so far away that I can’t visit them anymore.

My goodness, I haven’t visited my granparents graves since they were burried, side by side. Well, I guess I haven’t been to either set of my grandparents graves since they died. I really need to set aside a day and do that. Wow, when I saw this goal on another persons list, I knew right away it was something I had to do. And soon.
