From the time I was in sixth grade until my senior year, I volunteered at the local library as a page. I had so much fun working at the library. I got to help others, make new friends and read some awesome books.

Well it has actually been every 2 weeks, but that’s okay. The point is that we are going regularly. The library is open until 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, and I get my daughter every second week, so that’s when we go.
free movies, books, music! at our library, we can request items online and pick them up at any branch for a small fee. a huge time saver!
I am planning on going tomorrow. I have four overdue books so hopefully it will be enough incentive to go… I have no books I currently need…so I will have to come up with a list at work.

I take my 2 daughters to the toddler reading session at the local library every week :) We socialise, read books & drink tea. It’s fab :)
I also go every couple of weeks on my own & wander around the non-fiction section & take out cookery books & self improvement books. I don’t need to take out fiction as I have 100’s of un-read books waiting for me at home :)

Our library is within walking distance so I go there often. One thing that might help with those of you with this goal is to put ‘holds’ on things. I reserve a lot of CDs and Movies and almost every week something is waiting there for me. Books on tape are great for people too busy to read.
I think the library is more inviting in the evenings. During the day it is often full of toddlers or older kids running around.
I used to work in a library. I loved the smell of the books and all the hidden treasures one could find amongst the shelves. I’ve often dreamed of having my own library that smelled of musky books I collect from all over the world, where I can curl up with my golden retriever, listen to rain outside, and read amidst a soft light.
Today was the first day that I went to the library since I made this a goal. I had a book in mind, but i took the slow way of finding it, wandering around rooms full of shelves, trying to grasp the pattern.
There was music there! The library in the town I grew up in only had books: here there are shelves and shelves of recordings and sheet music. It amazes me.
