Move to Ohio

How I did it: My fiancée was accepted to med school at the University of Toledo's Health Science Campus two years ago. I was finishing up my associates degree at San Diego City College at the time and just began working full-time shortly after.

We began thinking how and when I would be able to relocate to Ohio so that we could be together again. I had just started working so it would be difficult for me to find another job out there, especially with the current economic situation.

However, I began looking into finishing my bachelor's degree while I was out there, and after a year of working full-time I had already saved enough money, in addition to student loans, to continue my education at the University of Toledo.

And so I was accepted at UT and moved out to Ohio last July and we're both very happy to be back together again.

Lessons & tips: If you want to move closer to the one you love.. be PATIENT and prepare. An opportunity will come along and be ready to jump on it when it does.
