How to go on a road trip

 "Lots of fun, and sometimes stressful!"
How I did it: We tripped around Arizona, Utah, California, Nevada. And then visited friends in St Louis and drive to Memphis. Then we drove through NY state and PA, and down to Washington DC. It was really great to see bits of the US by car. Highlights for me were Four Corners, the Bonneville Salt Flats, Graceland, and all of NYC!

How I did it: When my friend and i both had the same day off we decided to pack the car up with food, flip flops, coat (in case it rained!) and we headed for the sun - well we headed for the coast where there was said to be sun. we didn't get to the coast- traffic leading there was manic- but we ended up in a city close by, so we went shopping, sunbathed in the park, had lunch and walked around some ancient walls. I’ve gone on road trips before, just not very big ones. I’m giving up on this goal because I’d rather go on an epic bike trip. It’s much more environmentally friendly and a challenge.

I love vacationing, but I’ve never really gone on a road trip. I’d love to see more the the US by car and get the feeling of freedom and roll down the windows and feel the wind in my hair. It’s something I know I’d love to do.

We jumped in the car and headed for Las Vegas…it is only about 5 hours away but we spent the whole weekend laughing and having an all around great time!
