I bought a Volks Super Dollfie over a year ago now. I love this type of doll. She is beautiful, has beautiful proportions, healthy looking, and is just the type of doll to dress-up with.
That is the best thing about having her, is the ability to dress her just a like person. I’ve always enjoyed sewing and having her means I can design all sorts of outfits and costumes that would have been difficult otherwise. For me it has been a way to express myself in a creative way. I’ve also learnt so much in the process of making these clothes for her. Especially when I’m making a costume for I also enjoy learning the history around where the costume comes from.
I don’t think it’s purely a ‘girl thing’. I highly recommend getting one.
