And my word = GEUN 12 months ago

You know when your reading or writing and a passage comes up where the pronoun “he” or “she” represents either gender, such as in the following sentence where a gender isn’t known.
“He/She cannot rule out the order of the universe.”
This has bothered me FOREVER. Why has someone not come up with an acceptable sub for the S/he, He/She, He, She for writing?
To test, here’s what I suggest: geund or geun – for gender unestablished… what do you think? Have something better?

ANDROLAXPRADOPIA

It’s the crud you have in the corner of your eyes when you wake up in the morning.

Started as a joke to scare my then new boyfriend (who thought for all of two minutes that he had some strange incurable disease) it has become a family saying.

Everyone from my grandma to my toddler now call “eye crud”...androlaxprodopia.

Take it, run with it…and don’t forget to make others think they have a disease.

There’s other words that we’ve made up in our family (mostly a mixture of English, French and some West African languages) but this one’s a fav.

..to see the reactions of people around when you randomly say silly phrases or make up words - honstly i dont think about them – or truly make them up – they just come out and it is really fun to hear my friends start sayin after a while too - my favorite is “shandamaleekypoo” – no clue where it came from but sure is fun to say :D

Ok so technically... 3 years ago

I did not coin a ‘new’ word or phrase. I certainly did not make up the phrase ‘Peace out’ haha. However I started a new job about 4 months ago, and I am probably the silliest one on staff here (I work with a lot of professors lol) and am the youngest as well. But my personality is I am who I am, and our staff is very relaxed and casual so I pretty much say and do random silly things.

I always say peace out when I leave somewhere, and one day I was working the front desk and I was typing something on the computer. Somebody was leaving past me and they said goodbye, and without ever looking up I said “peace out” because I always said it when staff was leaving. After I said that, I looked up and it was an ELDER of the church I work at. I was like OH MY GOSH I JUST SAID PEACE OUT TO AN OLD GUY… lol.

So that made my co-workers laugh… and with that peace out began to catch on.

It is now the ‘catch phrase’ of our office, and people always make it a point to say things like ‘peace up’ or ‘peace in’ when they see me haha.

So, this is not the same as coining a new word or phrase, and it definitely will not make it in some famous quote book someday. However, I did create a ‘catch-phrase’ that you’d never imagine 50 year old professors using hehe.

So with that, this is officially checked off my list!
