I’ve read ‘Crabbe’, the book. And watched ‘Into the Wild’ Film. I’ve decided that I will be doing something similar to what they did, but I won’t return to civilization once I’m out. The only reason I’m doing this is because the book and film really helped me make my decision on leaving, and I realize that if I want others to follow my/our path(I do) we have to make them aware. So I want you guys to try this, even a letter would be great, the more people do this, the more aware others will be.

This kind of contradicts the normal lifestyle I’m after I know.. So I definetly don’t hate modern things. I just love the idea of going all out doing something extreme and never be bored. Just wish I could do one or the other….NOW!

I’ve always had this dream to live in nature and basically become a nomad and live off thine land. Ever since I’ve watched the Zeitgeist movie it talks about how corrupt our government and money is. I don’t want to be part of the so called “Norm” life other people live. I’ve always been around nature when I was little and ever since then I fell in love with nature. So last summer I spent the night laying under the stars with no tent just a blanket to lay under me and have one over me and it was so amazing. It was the best sleep of my life. I really don’t know how I’m going to learn the survival skill I need to know to live in nature, but I’m going to go somewhere and seek knowledge so I can do so. I told other people about my ideas of living in nature and they said “How are you going to live you have to have money”, and I told them “How do you think the Indians survived? Duh, the resources of the mother earth, man”. People are so dumb now day, so blinded by the government! This is one of my dreams. Living in the woods away from people and society. Just getting away from it all. But I don’t want to go all the way in. It would be nice to still be able to go back to society every once in awhile or even get a part-time job working to save up money for food. This for me isn’t about being pure, but lessening my dependence on the system until I no longer need it. This society is going to crash anyway, so it is nice to be prepared for it once it happens. I am not a survivalist, but an anarcho-primitivist. If any of you are interested, look up that word on Google and you’ll find some great articles.

This is about getting free. Let us accomplish that goal.

My friends James and Noah are moving into their summer home, a tent near the bamboo forest, as soon as the ground dries out. Gerry, who found a somewhat higher site, is already working on building an oven, and on hiding his new infrastructure from over enthusiastic dog walkers and the like.
I’m so incredibly jealous of the homeless-kid-in-the-woods lifestyle. I can’t help but covet their folding chairs and fire pits and sleeping bags and big skies.

Hi I’m reverting back to my roots am of Romanii descent It’s really quite easy if you really want to do it. You already learnt the basics as a child building tree houses and dens scrumping apples and learning to fish going on camp days and learning to light fires etc and with the internet now anything you don’t know someone else does and is really easy to find out the info you need and its great the cool crisp air in the morning watching the sun set at night almost feels like the clouds are your pillows and the stars your blaket its such a calming peacful way of life a couple more months and my wife 2 kids and me are going for it permanently get rid of the busy hustle and bustle of modern life everyone should do this have got loads of info if any one needs it. do this.I just need to get away from all these problems of the world today.I mean if you need to get away from problems the woods are the way to go dont do anything stupid. As a part of the Student Conservation Association, I got the chance to live 8 miles into the Desolation Wilderness, near Lake Tahoe. It was a pretty stunning experience, especially for someone like me who loves neon lights, rock bands, and the city. We bathed in snowmelt lakes, built trails for 8 hours a day, slept in a cramped tent, and ate food from a camp stove.
The only thing stopping me from becoming a park ranger is how badly I want to become a teacher.
I recommend Conservation Corps to anyone who wants to make a difference and experience something beyond their dreams.

Hi, Im Andrew me and my best friend Bobby are both 22years old, we are sick of living in the modern day society and would like to relocate to the wilderness, we would like to find a couple more people to share this experiance with us we are thinking on heading out as soon as a foundation is set possibly this summer. i live in maryland and im tired of living in society im tired of the jobs the strugle to survive id rather livein the woods where i dont half to worry about these things well i will half to survive lol sometimes when i watch
