Help Save the Environment

I don’t wear fur, eat beef/pork, use any products from companies that test on animals, or litter. I hope any of that helps the environment in some way

Just about everything I do , the first thing I think about it is t his the best choice for the environment as well as myself? I am always thinking about possible way to improve, and giving tips when it’s appropriate to friends. People think this must be a hassle because really most of the time they think “oh god , how annoying. One person is not going to make a difference”. I think this is a ridiculous attitude but I find it difficult to express to them that one person can make a differnce because they argue with all their “logic”. Logic being well “if you don’t take a flight then those other hundred people will and it won’t make a difference. You mays well be on it!” “If you stop eating animals, they will still be produced and what are we supposed to do , let them just ROAM around!? We have to eat them!?” Supply and demand people! lol
Anyway I try not to be too annoying, and having a witty and effective retort is often difficult but I usually respond with the simple statement of “be the change you want to see in the world” and they take it or leave it.
It’s frustrating but I do my best, and I don’t feel defeated in my pursuit.

I feel I owe it to Mother Nature to at least do my part to help keep her magnificent. Start small. Grow big.

I bought those swirly lightbulbs today and replaced all the ones in my house.

I feel good, even though everything is slightly dimmer in the house.

Right now I use cloth bags when I can and I’m a vegetarian so that helps and I never litter. However I know I could really use less water.. and less plastic and packaging. I’m trying my best.

Every day, a poor helpless animal is slaughtered, still fully concious, thrown on the ground, blood kicked in it’s face. We can stop this torture. I have one word for this type of thing, hell, complete hell. Please, any penny may help save a life, join a committee, an environmental agency. Save up some loose change then donate it to a pound, an animal shelter, a zoo, a conservation corperation. Any little thing helps. Work around your neighbor hood, tell people about what happens to the poor defenseless animals. YOU can help stop this. Animals aren’t just companions and pets, they are our best friends, our brothers and sisters, they are our teachers, they teach us about equality, friendship, love, bonds that go over time.
Animals are just like people, except they can’t talk back. Animals have hearts, feelings, needs, wants, and souls just like us. This should stop now, animals do not need to be treated like garbage. After all, what have they ever done to you…....
