I have been juggling a lot just lately, and my consistency of managing four balls is becoming better. Most importantly i’m finding i’m able to recover when i make a bad throw or get out of rhythm, i’m able to compensate with a higher throw or whatever, to get it back in time.
Yesterday i managed to give quite a good performance with about four people watching, which is progress indeed! Usually it all goes to pieces as soon as somebody is watching!
I’ve found some great juggling videos on youtube … they are incredibly inspiring, even the ones that look absolutely impossible!!

Four balls, 31 catches!!
Okay, so i’ve never actually counted before, but just now i thought i’d see how many catches i can make. Seems i can almost always do at least 8, quite often i can get about 16-20, and twice i made it all the way up to 31.
Today i discovered that it’s easier to juggle at the same height as for 3 balls, just faster. Before i was throwing higher to keep the speed the same, but my throws are more accurate when they’re not so high.
The two problems i have:
1) I can’t recover from a bad throw. Usually my hands end up getting further and further apart from each other!
2) If i get too close, two balls hit each other and ricochet off, making it impossible to continue!
A few times today though, i’ve found myself getting into an even rhythm, and i know if i keep practising i’ll get the hang of it. I’ll only tick this one off if i can juggle 4 balls for as long as i like, with people watching me! ;)

I am really close with this. The other day i managed almost a minute without dropping a ball. I really want to get to doing this as easily and as naturally as i can juggle 3 balls.
