become a "legit" publisher

I secured a small business loan and an office space. I have collected some of the equipment I need so far. With any luck, I will be able to get some copy machines as well. I will open a little copy shop to justify all of this expense. I really hope this will be worth it.

My progress so far…

• I’ve got a website with real content and traffic (it needs more traffic, but what the heck.)
• I’ve got printing equipment. It isn’t the best or most cost effective, but I can make decent-looking comic books with it.
• I have comic books (no “real” books or trade paperback graphic novels yet, but soon…)
• I’ve found out what I need to know when it comes to getting UPC symbols and ISBNs for my books. (After much research, I have determined I don’t “need” them for my comic books, but I will benefit from them when I start getting into the 100+ page book business.)
• I have subscribers and fans.
• I have people other than myself that wish to be published by VAS Littlecrow.
• I have determination.
• I have some marketing knowledge (which will hopefully improve with time and money.)
• I have ideas.
• I know how to register a copyright.

What hasn’t been done yet…

• I need massive amounts of money.
• I need licensing skills.
• I need ancillary product sales.
• I need better printing equipment.
• More authors interested in being published by VAS Littlecrow.
• I need a way to make my work load more efficiently.
• I need someone else on handling marketing and publicity.
