See Marilyn Manson in concert

I would’ve rather seen him a few years ago in his heyday, but alas, I was in 2nd grade.

I read on MansonWiki that he’s planning on a new album in December, with tour dates to be announced soon afterwards. When he was recently in Korea he said they’re very nearly finished with the album. Plus, for his show there he was wearing a different style of costume and makeup than on the Rape of The World Tour.
A glimpse of the new era?

I went to see Iron Maiden in June last year and I’m starting to get desperate to see another concert soon… :) I really want to see Marilyn Manson in concert as he’s/they’re one of my favourite artists (OK, not an artist, but a f*ing work of art!).

I hope this happens sooner then later. This is something I have always wanted to do/see!

I just saw him on 29 February and it was undoubtedly the best concert I’ve ever been to.

He was just abso-freakin’-lutely incredible! Loved the show so much, I laughed and screamed and clapped and sang along all the time. He played all the songs I had hoped for, yay! Disposable teens <3 Sweet dreams <3 Rock is dead <3 The Reflecting God <3 If I was your vampire <3

They started with this beautiful piano/violin piece. The curtain was still up but I could see the stage, since I was sitting on its right side. I saw Manson streching himself, preparing for the show. n _ n
His first microphone was attached to a knife, it looked pretty cool. He changed his outfit all the time and he had this amazing bright red makeup stripe over his eyes and it glowed in the dark as well. It looked really wicked.
There was this tiny screen hidden behind all the instruments that informed the band which song was up next. I don’t know if anyone else noticed it but I saw it and thus knew the whole time what song was coming next, hehee.
When he sang The Dope Show, he changed the lyrics from “drugs, they say, are made in California” to “drugs, they say, are made in Helsinki”. :D
He had a huuuge chair on stage at one point, pretty much as tall as him, and he looked tiny sitting on top of it. He also had this cool elevator that lifted him almost to the roof. And the last stunt was his own pulpit from where he “preached” to his parish and to top it off, he set fire to a Bible.
“I’d sing this next song, but there’s one guy in the front row that clearly doesn’t want to hear it. No, he’s really not in the mood for it. I don’t want that. I want everybody to enjoy themselves. What do you say, hey, just clap once and we’re fine. No, not you guys, just him. I want this guy to clap, just once. Come on. Can you do that for me? No? What, do you want to go home?” That so cracked me up! I love him! <3
The intermissions between the songs were really great, they had these freaky clips from old movies (like Disney’s Alice in Wonderland) and sirens and all this weird noise.
He touched his crotch a lot, too. But I guess that was expected.

I took some pictures with my cell phone, now I just have to figure out how to get them to my computer. (And I had trouble with security, again. Why are they always on me and my photography? Why can’t they pester some other people? :’D)

Going to take my ticket and leave in a few hours, head to Hellsinki by train.

...I just wonder what I’m going to wear. :D
Maybe my black-red corset would be fitting for this event!

I think it would have been ten times better to see him 7 years ago when he was considered blasphemous, but it was still an awesome concert!
