get in a cover band

The cover band is a great idea, and can be really good, but they’re definitely not all created equal. The one I was in was not very good, in the end. I learned a lot of songs, spent a lot of time rehearsing, but spent more money on rehearsal space rent and subway fare to and from rehearsal than I ever earned in the band. BUT, when I think back on the band, I laugh. Maybe it’s a bitter laugh or a cruel laugh, but laughing is good, right?

The audition went well, so now we’ll see how this goes. Hopefully, we can get a set together quickly.

I had a great time with this in Tallahassee. To bad I was so busy with grad school that I couldn’t devote myself to it as much as I would have liked to. It’s a good way to earn money, and if the band is good, people really seem to enjoy it.
