cycle lands end to john o'groats

I’m doing this on motorbike with my brother this summer, we’re both just doing our CBT’s now and getting the gear together. Will do a short ride including a night camping a month before the trip to test everything out.

Did this in Oct 07 and it was the best 2 weeks of my life, if you’re considering this, just go and do it – you won’t regret it!

but if (or rather when) i can get fitter then i’d definitely be up for doing this – amazing achievement.

I cycled (mountain bike) from John O’Groats to Lands End in 2003. Didn’t go particulary fast, 13 days to to bottom, but wanted to enjoy the ride. I did it on my own rather than with a group although I did have a support vehicle to meet with each day so I didn’t have to carry tent and supplies… Would love to do Canada to Mexico next time but need to get the business stable so I can take 3 months off to do it!

Wonderful, and in a heatwave too! One of my “alltime” great experiences. Recommend it to anyone who enjoys cycling as a great trip.
