mow the lawn/get the lawn mowed

$20 was all it took. They offered to do it for $5 each, but hey, I was so glad that they were willing to do it, I gave them $10 each.

It took a little doing to get the lawn mower going. I had to add gas, I had to figure out how to get it started. I had to figure out how to keep it going. After pulling on that cord at least a million times, my arm is feeling like it’s gonna fall off, but at least the lawn is nice and mowed—maybe not as well as when Reza would mow the grass, but, OK, ok!

and lots of dandilions, etc.
