I’m really happy to read everyone’s comment. It’s really encouraging. I say so because I don’t get to interact much with people my age about the topic, only in church. So it’s really neat to come on here to read about this. I wanted to say thank you all. Please keep in touch with me at Kimpex20@yahoo.com or kimpex_18@hotmail.com…I too try to read my devotional everyday and I also send out the scriptures that I read in the devotional to all the contacts (mobile)on my cell phone. I was also surprised about the people that received Christ’s words. God Bless you all and thank you again! :-)
How to spend more time with God
How I did it: getting back to the "path" again is not all that easy - but i managed to start off by at least making a point to start off the day with my daily devotions as well as reading the 40 days purpose driven life book.
there are still hang ups but i guess, it's all about planning and priorities.

Often I’m not really sure what to do to spend time with God but I know it’s the most important thing to do, and not knowing how probably shows just how far I’ve wandered. It’s one of my resolutions for 2009 to figure this out and get to know God well again.

For the last two months I have become active in a womens bible study. It is a great way to spend my time. I have a renewed relationship with God and the women in my community :)
Sad to say that my other goal to read the whole bible in the year has been on a halt so far (tsk, shame on me), but i’ve picked up on my daily devotion regularly for a bout a month now and i’m happy to say that my appointments with God are also regular. =)
Lately i’ve been thinking about how scary hell is… and how scary i think letting go of some stuff is…
and this has been a goal for me for many, many years… i’ve never done it though…
I want to wake up EVERY morning and dedicate that time to God, with no hesitations. without asking for anything just praising him and thanking him for everything in my life, including sending his son Jesus to rescue us from doom.
Jahlizz is up too late.
Read the Bible, pray and journal.
Spending time with God keeps my life in proper alignment. When I try to do things in out of my own strength I fail. (Good to remember when considering any of my other goals). But when I draw from the source of strength, I’m more likely to succeed and find deeper satisfaction in life.
I did this before, but now I’ve fallen off the wagon. O_O time to get back on it. God is my heavenly Father, and He is my best friend. Time to start acting like it again.
Importance:
- Enables me to self-reflect my relationship with Him
- Provides me wisdom
- Gives me peace, especially from the world
- Helps me to learn more about love
