take beautiful pictures

I am just starting out in the photography business. I live in a very conservative part of MO. I get to take your average portraits all the time but, I want to take crazy beautiful pictures! I have a new friend from L.A. that I want to take pics of the next time he comes this way…...prolly in March. He is a cool character and I could take those crazy beautiful pictures of him because he isn’t afraid…..I guess it is kinda hard to be afraid when you look like an angel.

I think this is pretty damn beautiful, no?

Taking pictures…check. Beautiful? I need to find more beautiful places to practice.

OK, so I didn’t win anything at the fair with my photos, but I still think my pictures are beautiful. My DH and my family think that they are beautiful too, so that is all that really matters.

I dropped off my State Fair entries today. I really just want other people to see what I have done. I hope other like my photos, but I guess it only really matters if I like them. Anyway, mounting and matting the pics was a pin in the butt. They had to be a certain way and all of the craft shops were out of what I needed. It also didn’t help that I waited til the last minute to get everything together, but at least it’s over with.

I received my entry tags for my fair pictures the other day. I have picked out two of my favorites to enter. They have to be dropped off on Sunday and the fair starts next week. I still have to get them mounted, but that won’t take much time. I can’t wait until I see my work displayed in public for all to see.

I’m starting to get anxious and worry about my fair entries. I still haven’t received my entry tags and the fair starts in like 3 weeks. I paid for the entries almost a month ago. If I don’t receive them by the end of the week I guess I’ll have to give them a call.

I know I have a lot to learn about photography, but I think I have already taken some really beautiful pictures. I already have one, maybe two, picked out to enter in the State Fair. I just need to get it developed and mounted so I can enter it.

So, we didn’t buy the Canon Rebel XT, but we found a used Canon Rebel DSLR that was in really good shape for half the price of the XT. I have been playing with it for a couple of days now and am getting better with it.
