    ...otherwise you may end up with moldy plates with heaven knows what’s growing on it.

    My roommate and I would trade off. I’d often leave dishes from breakfast and she’d leave dishes from lunch or dinner. Neither one of us was anal retentive about the cleaning (so long as it wasn’t left over for more than a day…) so we just washed whatever was in the sink.

    Having dishes when you’re hungry is just one of those good things. You don’t want to have to clean as well as cook and then clean again!

    I used to live in a student corridor (dormitory) until a few months ago. Doing the dishes straight away was fairly easy then, since I didn’t want to upset the other people who were using the same kitchen. Now, when I live in my own flat, I don’t have that “push”, and therefore it’s soo much harder to have good discipline and do the dishes straight away…
