Learn flamenco.

I’ve attended three lessons so far and I’m hooked up already…

There’s a Semana Flamenca event taking place where I live next week that’s an opportunity to buy a pair of flamenco shoes (there’ll even be a lottery so one lucky individual will get one for free), attend extra lessons at different levels, see two concerts, taste a range of Spanish wines, have a look at souvenirs from Andalusia, meet people from Spain and more. It looks like it’s going to be really exciting – I’m just trying to sign up for the lessons and get the concert tickets!

Have found a place where they teach it but need the shoes & flared skirt.

I’ve been attending classes for 2 months now and have absolutely fallen in love with flamenco. Apparently, all of my at-home practicing has helped because the teacher has already invited me to join the advanced class!

I attended my first class yesterday and LOVED it! The teacher is amazing and the lesson moved at exactly the right pace. I can’t wait to continue with this goal!

Classes start at the end of September. I’m really excited about this goal!!

After years of being convinced that I could stamp my feet with the best of them, I took flamenco classes. It was about so much more – it required grace, co-ordination and passion! It was hard work and I’m glad I gave it a go, if only for the mirth it brought to my family and friends.

i was born in spain. my mother is spanish. i can speak a little spanish, but understand more of it when i hear it spoken. if i could dance flamenco, which i’ve wanted to do since i was little -seeing the dresses in spain in person influenced this MAJORLY -i think i’d have more recognition in my community as a spaniard. this is also difficult as i am caucasian (blonde-haired, green-eyed) in appearance. x_x

OK..I’ve the shoes for this (some start I guess) Now all I need to do is…find a place where they teach flamenco!

So much for this one goal. They did not have enough people/adults registering for the class, so the Monday class got cancelled. I was really looking forward to this.
I spend all my time consumed with work and my family, I needed some “me” time. Anyway, I guess I just have to find something else. The teacher said they will let us know if the can form a class later on in the year. So for now, I will take this goal off.

I got the dates mixed up.. Classes do not begin until next Monday Sep 17th. But I did buy shoes – proof that this is a goal I hope to pursue. I decided to buy regular character shoes as opposed to Flamenco shoes. If I continue, then I will make the investment.
