go to a we are scientists gig

Mum called me yesterday to say she passed the place in London where the open air cinema was I went to last year (it’s near her work) and said WAS are playing. But it’s on Tom’s birthday! Gah. I really wanted to see them again.

On other news lol – I discovered a short video on youtube earlier this week of part of the in-between songs talk they did at the gig.

I had bookmarked the search I did on Flickr for photos of the gig and just took another look. There’s lots more now :)

We were let in at 8pm – found out they weren’t on till 9:15pm, but there was another band playing before, which to be honest, were rubbish we thought. But it pasted the time. The venue was reasonably small as expected, which was good. When we were sitting near the bar area, we saw the singer, Keith, just casually walk through and only two people approached him.

When the other band started playing (they were called The Math Lesson or something), I thought we should go and try to find a good spot. There were tall people in front of me though and I couldn’t really see the stage. We later moved around to the side. We were just outside the most crowded part. Probably the best place for me to be as I got quite hot and sweaty anyway lol.

Their humour was on top form. The music was brilliant. I sung the whole time, and “danced”. Thought I was losing my voice on the last song, but I didn’t fortunately. I don’t think I could of had a better time really. :D

The photo I’ve attached is the only one I’ve seen so far, but I witnessed people taking much better ones.

Going to London on thursday to get an emergency ID card, so I stop worrying I won’t be allowed in.

Bring on May 14!! :D
