My best time is only a bit under 7:30, so I have decided that I really need to pick up the pace! I am setting a goal right now to go for a mile every day on my elliptical- don’t think I will have that much time, but I will hopefully do this at least three times a week. Wish me luck!
i am determined to do this, and will attempt to achieve it by the end of this year! i just went for a timed mile and it took 7:08 which was better than i hoped as i havent run a lot this year, and its not a flat mile. when i can do this course below 5:30 i will try on a track which will be flatter and so quicker. my best ever mile was around 6:15. two months and counting
I got sick the very next day and then I havent been running but I just can the other day and it was in 7mins about a month ago it was 9 well I will get there maybe not before basic but when I am in basic I know I will be able to.
At around 3 or 4 I am going up to the local high school and I am going to run a mile on their track my goal is to run under 5 minutes by Jan 8th, the day I enter basic training for the Air Force, a goal I know I can do. Well I will let you know what happens today.
This is an average speed of 12mph. Realisticly 6 minute miles is a better target for me (10 mph) but im a dreamer.
i can run a mile in 5:20 around if i tried since i was on cross country during the fall. any tips on getting faster? track seasons coming up
