I’m not sure what type of business exactly. It’ll probably either be web/graphic design, an ebay business, or selling something I create (jewelry, clothing, etc), either way it’ll probably be an online thing.
How to own my own business
How I did it: I decided to turn something I love to do into a business. I researched, talked to others that had done the same thing, and then I just jumped into it.

Now that I have an address, I have filled out the paperwork to submit my fictitious name statement. I have decided to file for all of los angeles county instead of focusing on Burbank (since I’m leaving) or Glendale (not where I want to focus). Now I just need to get the cash together to file the paperwork and have the statement published in a local paper. I have all the info together and ready to go. I’m excited!

I am ready to take my first real step. I plan on taking it really slow and building for success. I have a 2-5 year plan on getting my business to a professional level. I am really excited about my business and the potential that my business has and to taking it to the next level. I am in wait mode right now because I am moving and will need to be at a permanent address when I file the fictitious name statement and to apply for a business license.
I want to open up a brick-and-mortar metal shop. I’ve never been able to find a real metal shop that sells underground metal merchandise or promotes metal at all. They’re all online. The success of said business would be dubious at best, but it’s a dream anyway.

I started my house call shiatsu therapy in 2004 and a dog sitting business in 2006. Therapy is a skill that i’m good at and dogs are a passion. So these 2 are worlds apart but it gives me enough variety to keep it form becoming monotonous.
Have suffered failure too. Before starting the dog sitting business, i had a business retailing dog apparel and carriers. Realised that i’m not good crunching that many numbers and maintaining inventory. I’m better at providing services, period.
