I’ve never been apple picking in my life before! I’ve always wanted to pick fresh apples in the fall because I love eating and baking with apples. Also, I just think it would be cool to pick apples because I haven’t done it before!

I love upstate. My friend lives upstate and I was dropping not-so-subtle hints about wanting to go upstate for apple picking. He took the bait and invited me up for a weekend of fun and fruit. Now I just need to get the time off work.
Emma Krumbee’s Apple Orchard in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, wtf. It’s really awesome there! So, if you’re living in MN, or if you are travelling through there, stop to visit Emma Krumbee’s.
We also happened to get a kitten from there. A friend was working there, and there was a stray kitten that she caught in one of the barns. We weren’t planning on keeping her, but we fell in love with her anyways, and decided to name her Emma.
every year on my parents house, they have apple, lemmon, lime and another kind of trees. But the best part are the apple pies!!!
Aaron going to be apple picking.
I did the second best thing. I bought local apples from the grove orchard.

But I did get apples. I picked up a bag of jona golds. They have the firmness of a fuji, but are sweeter. I liked then a lot.
no matter how old I get, I still enjoy picking, and eating apples. something about getting it for yourself.
This year was the first year I took my kids, and it was just us. they had an awesome time. hayride, apple cider & donuts. petting zoo. corn stalk maze, the whole nine.
I even took some pictures, just like my mom did when we went one year, same place, same kinda a pic. so its a neat comparison, and the kids liked it too.

Very easy and very fun. Though I did most of the eating while my nate did the picking. I went home and made apple crisp and caramel apples. I’ll be making apple sauce soon too. I will definitely do this again. The day was beautiful as were the mountains and leaves. The country store next to it had all kinds of cool stuff, not to mention great cider and pumkins which we carved later.
