I have set up a weekly painting appointment with myself. I feel quite rusty as I have painted on and off for the past couple of years —after doing nothing for who-knows-how-many-years. I even gave up on this goal, but I’m retaking it, because watercoloring is something that I really love to do.
So I’m following a book right from the beginning to start me up with drawing and perspective and plainly feel the pencil, feel the brush. I hope this time really sticks. 2 years ago

Earlier this year, I joined a local group to paint. Though I have only painted while at the outings, it has been a pleasant experience not only with watercolors, but with drawing as well. 3 years ago

I’m watercoloring every day. I borrowed from the library Watercolor for the Serious Beginner and Watercolor Basics: Painting from Photographs to improve my technique. 4 years ago

A couple days ago, I came across this nice site where the host gives an open invitation to participate in this flickr group. So I’ll be painting —or photographing— something every day in May :)
...and I just picked up from the library Painting from Photographs for ideas and inspiration ;) 4 years ago

Well, the weather does help a lot. With the winter blues gone, I finally reached for my brushes and a sketchbook —not yet ready to use the nice watercolor paper after 10+ years of not painting.
I did a very basic sketch of some peppers that were in a photo ad of our local grocery store :P I know, I know, but I had to start with something… I’ll eventually move on to more elaborate themes and right out of nature and real life.
So for practice and “warm up”, here’s my first piece :o) 4 years ago

This has been going for a while, but I just stare at my brushes and paper and plainly find something else to do :(
I really want to do it, but I somehow always go around it :S 4 years ago
