When I was sitting in silence today, a thought came to mind.
It says:

“Meaningful friendships depends on you following your heart”.

I have a best friend in life that I can always always count on. I am my own best friend. I have to be my own very best friend first before I can be anybody else’s friend. 5 years ago

Friendships are made of shared moments. A laughter, a kind word, a pat on the shoulder just when a friend needs it, all these things make up the meaningful interactions in life. 5 years ago

The best friendships in life are gifts from God. I have several lifelong friends who are very different from me. If it weren’t because of God’s work, we would’ve never met. But here we are. Yet some of the people I tried very hard to make friends with never worked out.

I need to be honest to myself first before I can honest to others.
I need to light my own candle first before I can give lights to others.
I need to take care of myself first before I can take care of others.
I need to respect myself first before I can respect others.

I know the best way to have friends is to be a friend. So, to have meaningful friendships in life, I have to give meaningful friendships first. I have to be daring enough to be authentic, to let others know me, to expose vulnerability, to express honest feelings, to speak my mind. 6 years ago

I hope to have more meaningful friendships in life, but don’t know where to start, but a prayer, a deliberate declaration of such hope… Maybe One will hear me and help. 6 years ago
