While watching one of my favorite shows, Hoarding: Buried Alive, the psychologist talked about excessive acquisition. I have this issue with certain things. But I’m not a hoarder, I’m a collector. 1 week ago

I have wanted to order this DVD for about a year and finally did. It’s pretty good so far! Getting through DVD 1, which is drills and grips. 4 weeks ago
I gave away my other jacket. This one looks nice and got good reviews. However, I rarely ride. 2 months ago
I want to go to New York and buy these expensive high quality shoes. They come in many colors but I am interested in black patent or gray patent. Or mauve. 8 months ago
Not really
EDIT – it’s too large and says it is “preshrunk.” Also not sure about black gi’s as they are more of an instructor color, and I don’t want anything to do with instructing. 10 months ago
these are interesting – like plants, but it is a lamp

Self, you are not allowed to buy a car, any type of vehicle, or anything that takes up space until you clean the garage to the point where you have a place to put the car or large item. 12 months ago
I am seeing that I have a lot of stuff, mainly because I do not like to throw things out that are not worn out. I have many pairs of shoes that are very similar, bought over a 10 year period, and I haven’t gotten rid of the older ones. I just keep acquiring new ones. It seems wasteful to get rid of the old ones when they still have some wear in them. I have been thinking of taking them to a shoe repair place but haven’t put this plan of 2-3 years gestation into action.
It is a combination of feeling guilt over buying and guilt over getting rid of something that is not worn out. I like to use something until it is worn out. I am not keeping them in good condition either, like I used to. They are covered in dust from the cleaning project we did a month ago, and I have not polished shoes in at least 3 years. 4 of these pairs I bought in 1998 and though they aren’t in regular rotation, they are still good.
I think it is time to stop buying black and brown shoes. I feel guilt over having this many shoes (and these are not even all of them, maybe a fourth of my shoe collection). So what to do to feel better. Give some away probably or make sure all are in working order.
An additional issue is that I love to browse for bargains. How will I stop doing this (or maybe just stop clicking “buy now”).... 12 months ago
to call my old lover and find out if he is (1) alive or dead and (2) still at that phone number. It is probably a bad decision especially since I am happily married, but, I do think about this old lover from time to time, like, once a week or so. I don’t want to do anything to affect my marriage. I am just curious and the thought of hearing him (mainly just getting an answering machine would be what I would want) gives me a charge. However this is not healthy behavior. I aborted my phone call, hanging up just before it would have gone through.
When I was having this kind of thoughts about my other ex lover, my psychologist asked me to examine what need was not getting met in my marriage that might cause me to think this way.
I suppose it is time for another such talk with self, psychologist, and maybe spouse. 15 months ago
if you can’t have a stone house you could have a veneer of stone
I wonder how much it costs

You can take 8 pairs of shoes + other items! I always get accused of bringing too many pairs of shoes, so if I had this, I could do it in a very stylish manner!
However I cannot justify the price. $1500 Louis Vuitton “vintage” on ebay. Way too much. 1 year ago
