write more songs, and better ones

It’s coming more naturally now… almost like it used to, but I’m not quite to the point where I can check this off.

Now that I have more to write about, I’m starting to take advantage of that. Unfortunately, it’s not as often nor as good as I would hope, so I’m going to spend a little more time on this goal…

I used to write every day, but now…. I’m lucky if I write once a week. Inspiration isn’t coming, even if I try. So if I sit down and try more often something’s bound to come to me…right? Even when nothing is really happening in my life?

I don’t write many songs, but i write poems too. I don’t write many of those either (ones that i like anyway). I have two songs that i like and practice semi-regularly. I think i’ve been stuck for inspiration and i seem to have lost my passion for everything recently.. =( so yes! i would like to write more songs, and better ones so i can bless other people like so much music blesses me!

wrote my first real punk rock song a few days ago. It’s kind of sad. But I like it. And it isn’t finished, but I got down on paper what I needed to get out of my system. I feel a bit better now.

I really love writing songs. I think I have about 10 that are finished and countless ones that aren’t. I just wrote part of one this morning that was about something nice about a game of star struck (this also could go under “keep a healthy level of insanity”), where you go outside at night with some friends, find a bright star (or just look up) and spin around twenty times, counting out loud (or having someone count for you) at twenty, they shine a very bright light in your eyes, and you try to stay standing (or crumple to the ground in fit of laughter) but anyway, this song is happy, and very few of mine are. It’s called “Beautiful Vertigo” and it’s a happy one! Yay!
