How to feed a giraffe by Gare Davis

"In an act so simple as handing out grass, I felt an internal joy and thrill unlike I never thought I'd experience."

How I did it: I was just at the zoo to enjoy life and celebrate my drug free anniversary. I didn't know they let you feed the giraffes. So I just stood in line and fed a giraffe.

Lessons & tips: The quieter and calmer you are, the longer they'll stick around.

Resources: The Sedgwick County Zoo let's you feed the giraffe twice a day.

    Yum yum in my tum tum!! They actually have really long blackish blue tongues. They do kinda look like a huge horse when you get up close to their heads like that. I even fed it from my mouth!!!! Hahahahaha lol smooches xo xo

    i went to the jacksonville zoo
    me, my uncle and cusin got to feed a giraffe
    there tongues are crazy long and wrappd around the leafs
    it was an awsome experience
    not guna lie
    i wana do it again

    Battle Creek, Michigan has a zoo where you can feed the giraffes in case that is close enough to make it achievable for anybody!!

    I fed a giraff at a 10am feeding at the Living Desert in Palm Springs. It was so interesting! I highly recommend it. I gave him a piece of carrot.
