How I did it: I was ecstatic when I found out that Wicked was coming to Louisville(back in June/08). I waited until the tickets were on sale and bought them. Then had to wait until January when the show came.I finally saw it this weekend. It was a great show, great songs and performances! I really enjoyed myself. Even the husband said he liked it even though he was a little wary at first! I definitely recommend it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have it easy as I live in New York (Long Island), but I was sixteen when I first saw it. Instead of a sweet sixteen, I asked for a weekend in the city in a hotel. I kept asking my mother for Wicked tickets, but she wouldn't tell my anything. The day of my sixteenth birthday, I've finished opening my gifts and we're about to get ready to pack up to go see sights and then go home. Then my mom gave me a card that had the Wicked tickets (one… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I worked at a summer camp in Virginia and then travelled up to New York for a few days. I hadn't bought a ticket in advance but I just went along to the Gershwin one night and waited in the cancellation line. Couldn't have gotten a better seat either: row G, central orchestra section! I do wish I could see Wicked, it looks so awesome! It’s been playing in Melbourne, Australia for a little while, and I’m pretty sure it’s been announced that it’s coming to Adelaide! Though it’s only a little dream of mine, I hope we’ll be able to see it! I also saw the novel being sold in a local bookstore, so I might read that too :D
I’m just worried that it’ll be on during December, because that’s when I take off for a trip to Poland, ‘Cats’ was crossed off the list of things I would like to see because of this >_<

Totally worth it. Teal Wicks had a great voice—and though she played the role with much more anger than Shoshana Bean did, losing a lot of the potential humor in the process, she was a joy to watch.

What a wonderful musical Wicked is. I didn’t listen to any of the music before hand. I didn’t want to know a whole lot going in. It sure had went beyond my expectations. It was funny, it was sad and will make me look at the Wizard of Oz differently. Fabulous! To top it off I got to see it with my best friend!

So I will be leaving for Louisville, Kentucky on Friday morning, January 16. Ms Herbgoddess will meet me at the airport, so that we may run amuck for a day. Then see Wicked on Saturday night. Then back home on Sunday.
Definitely something to look forward to!

has been playing on my ipod a lot lately. I really like the songs. I can hardly wait!!! I am starting to reread the book by Gregory Maguire & also perusing the Grimmerie.
Saw it! On BROADWAY, no less! Talk about the weirdest of luck – I didn’t think I’d ever go to New York, much less Broadway, and then out of nowhere Mum decides a week-long trip across the border would be just the thing, and Wicked was playing, and…!
It was /epic/. big grin I mean, we had really really cheap tickets, but they could have sat me in the aisles and I’d have been tickled pink. Well worth the money.
Ive never been to Gershwin Theatre in NY so I dont know. I’m very excited. I hope I have a decent view without squinting or craning.
