How I did it: It was really a spur of the moment kind of thing. I bought two tickets in orchestra seating (great seats!) on a very early Saturday morning. I saw a pop-up advertisement come up on my computer...and that was the last straw. I'd been wanting to see it FOREVER so I just went to Ticketmaster.com and bought two tickets - I didn't know know who I was going to take! So worth it, though! :D Read how I did it…

How I did it: The National Honor Society at my school used to take a trip to NYC every two years, and one of the things on our itinerary was seeing Wicked on Broadway. Everything about it was phenomenal! The set, costumes, music, everything! I would go and see it again in a heartbeat! Read how I did it…

How I did it: A friend suggested we goto London and see a show. I'd hadn't considered this as something to do before; anything other than the cinema seemed a bit posh. I'm glad I went along with it as it's opened my mind to alternative entertainment. We've seen three now and keen to see more. I'm looking at dance shows too - always loved watching dance but not thought to actually goto a pure dance show before (silly idiot!) Read how I did it…

So ever since every person I have ever talked to saw it and LOVED it. I was super anxious to see it. The problem: by the time I discovered this new gift from the theater world every else had “been there done that”.
I decided to text my best friend who lives almost two hours away to ask him if he would go with me. He text back with soo much excitement that I just had to call him. Turns out all of his people don’t want to see it. The opposite problem as mine. What better person to see Wicked with then my bestest friend in the whole world!!!
Here’s hoping the plans don’t fall through…

Finally – I just bit the bullet and bought tickets. Yay. So it definitely broke my bank account, but I bet it will be so worth it! August 27th, 7:30pm in San Diego. :) It’s a Thursday… Oh how I love mid-week vacations.

We bought our tickets for July 30 last night and I’m getting excited! I deferred to the men on choosing a restaurant for supper before the show and they picked the Texas Roadhouse. It is shaping up to be quite a fun and laidback outing!
Parents have paid for my birthday to go see it YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I do wish I could see Wicked, it looks so awesome! It’s been playing in Melbourne, Australia for a little while, and I’m pretty sure it’s been announced that it’s coming to Adelaide! Though it’s only a little dream of mine, I hope we’ll be able to see it! I also saw the novel being sold in a local bookstore, so I might read that too :D
I’m just worried that it’ll be on during December, because that’s when I take off for a trip to Poland, ‘Cats’ was crossed off the list of things I would like to see because of this >_<

Totally worth it. Teal Wicks had a great voice—and though she played the role with much more anger than Shoshana Bean did, losing a lot of the potential humor in the process, she was a joy to watch.
