Stay at a fancy five-star hotel

The nicest 5 star hotel I have stayed at is the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Nigel in CA. It sits atop a bluff overlooking the ocean. The views are especially breathtaking. The service and decor are fabulous. I think it only pays to stay at a 5 star hotel if it is in a great location. You’re paying for the location. Otherwise, I usually stay at 4 star hotels when I’m traveling.

They’re pretentious and uncomfortable. Stick with 4 star, that’s the ticket.

In the early 70’s my wife and I stopped at the Baltimore Hotel in Oceanside California. (Anyway I think it was in Oceanside) The hotel was way fancy, but on a whim we went in and registered. It cost so much we had to go to the store and buy some food to eat in the room, besides I did not have a tie to go to the dinning room. Everyone else had Mercedes or Bentley cars and we had a white 66 Chevy with a red interior. It was nice but I felt like Ged Clampet. I want to go to a nice hotel and really be fancy.

It was in the middle of the desert in Arizona but way worth it!

Can’t go wrong with a Ritz-Carlton.

I mean, it would cost soo much, but i just gotta do it! Just for the crack of it LoL =]
