Another habit in place 13 months ago

I finished the Glass Castle, it is a fast read and very good. I also finished another book that I had set aside after reading only about 50 pages. Slacks and Calluses: Our summer in a bomber factory is the story of two school teachers who worked in a bomber factory during World War 2 – cute book that was put out by the Smithsonian.

Right now I am reading “Legacy of Love” by Arun Gandhi, Gandhi’s grandson. He was in town last semester and I missed his speech, but his book is very good.

Up next, I haven’t decided yet between:

The Good War by Stud something
The Crack at the Edge of the World by Simon Winchester
or the second book after Twilight

I’m marking this one off because it’s a habit.

Finished "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote 14 months ago

This was a great book, I am going to have to read a few more of his books and see the recent movie made with Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Right now I am reading “The Glass Castle” for my book group that’ll meet next month. It loooks pretty good.

Just finished another one 15 months ago

It was a book my boyfriend got me for my b-day from Ms. magazine. Pretty interesting, though the editing was atrocious.

Next up: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote – I’m only 20 pages in and wow! He is an amazing writer. A

Right now I am reading, The next thing on my list by Jill Smolinsky. Great summer read for anyone looking for a lighter book – if you like this site, you’ll love this book.

Gotta cut back on the TV watching 2 years ago

I always say I’m going to read more books for pleasure, but end up watching TV whenever I have free time. I guess I get tired of reading books for school, and when it comes to reading for myself, just seems like I’m doing homework again. But this time, I’d really like to get through at least one book a month.
