Just an update for this goal, after moving I got a chance to go through all my wine, I’ve got about 60 bottles now which is perfect for just me drinking them. Of the 60, about 30 or really nice bottles of wine that are more than 4 years old, the other 30 or either drink now ones or good bottles but still very young.
My wine has found a nice place to live in my new house in the buffer cabinet where they should be okay and not too hot or cold.

I only had modest aims in mind for this goal (the goal is to start, and you have to start somewhere) and I think I’ve happily achieved those.
I had a couple of dozen bottles, but they weren’t organised or stored properly. I’ve now got a good quality rack, organised those bottles by year and variety. I bought another half a dozen bottles today to lay down – all things that are nice now, but should be lovely in say three to five years.
It’s not much, but I don’t drink much so it doesn’t need to be. When I do drink I want to really enjoy it, and having completed this is a good start to that end.

After going to some great wine tasting in fed square my wine cellar is now about 60 bottles of great wine, most should be kept for at least 3-5 years but some are drink now wines that are delicious! I only have limited space in my house so I’ll slowly increase the number of wines when I get some more space to put them, but the cellar is well and truely started so consider this task done.

I already have a few wines that I keep to either drink whenever or save for a special occasion but I want to buy 2 bottles of the best red wines for 2004 in Autralia and cellar them so I can enjoy them in 4-5 years or more. I want to actually know something about them as well like the region and what they taste like.
