seeking~serenity400 SITUPS!!! 3/1/13 - 4/1/13

Just finished up with my final test. I broke it up into 25 increments at a time (25×8). I started going…and didn’t stop, lol. I started to get a bit bored around 300, but I really wanted to at least double my goal of 200, so I kept swimming. I could have done a bit more, but I was happy to stop at 400.

400! Oh yeah! :)

So, my weekly stats:

W3D1 3-1-13 (haha, I started 3-1 on 3-1, cool!):
18, 25, 19, 19, 25 = 106
W3D2: 21, 28, 21, 21, 28 = 119
W3D3: 24, 32, 23, 23, 32 = 134
W4D1: 27, 33, 24, 24, 38 = 146
W4D2: 30, 38, 30, 30, 42 = 170
W4D3: 35, 42, 35, 35, 50 = 197
W5D1: 54, 60, 45, 36, 70 = 265
W5D2: 30, 30, 36, 36, 27, 27, 33, 80 = 299
W5D3: 30, 30, 36, 36, 30, 30, 40, 100 = 332
W6D1: 70, 85, 52, 45, 90 = 342
W6D2: 33, 33, 45, 45, 36, 36, 32, 32, 100 = 392
W6D3: 39, 39, 50, 50, 39, 39, 33, 33, 120 = 442
FINAL 4-1-13: 400!

So happy to finally have this completed…and off of my list…after 3 damn years!!! (: 1 month ago

seeking~serenityWeek 6, Day 3 (LAST DAY!!)

DONE!!! WHOOHOO!!!!

All-in-all, a total of 442 situps for the final day.

I finished my final day last night (Saturday, night before Easter) and I should be doing my final test to see if I can get my 200 situps tomorrow, but then I’ll be missing my goal by one day.

So, to remedy this dilemma, I am going to change the goal date by one day. I didn’t think about Easter being on the 31st and messing me up. I would have crammed all three days in back-to-back, but I had family time today.

Tomorrrow, I will do my 200 situps and check this one off…FINALLY!!! :) 1 month ago

seeking~serenityFinished up with Week 6, Day 1

If it weren’t for the app on my phone, I wouldn’t be at this point. I tend to forget things, or think I will do them later, and then space it. The alarm setting on the app rocks for my space-case self!

So, for W6D1, I did: 70, 85, 52, 45, 90 (a total of 342 reps).
Awesome.

Two more days to go, and then my final test to see if I can do the 200 consecutive situps that I have been training to do. I’m excited! :)

By the way, this is what a penguin doing a situp looks like, lol…1 month ago

seeking~serenityAlmost there...

Over the weekend, I did my exhaustion test after Week 4, with 70 consecutive situps. That landed me in the over-60, column 3…which is where I wanted to be.

Started Week 5, Day 1 yesterday. Did 54, 60, 45, 36, and 70 (total of 265 reps). That made me happy.

I’m really not even sore, at all. I know I have my form correct, and it stings while I’m doing sets, but this third time try I am doing this time really hasn’t given me any grief, whatsoever. Hopefully I’m still gaining core strength.

I should be done with this goal on-time. 2 months ago

seeking~serenityWeek 4: Done! Boom!

Week 4, Day 3: 35, 42, 35, 35, 50 (total of 197 reps completed).

I am really liking the 200 Situps application (not the “official”, paid one) on my phone! It has reminder timers on it…very cool! (And, FREE!)

Need to do my exhaustion test within 24-48 hours to see which column I will be using in week five. I’d like to be in the third column to get more situps in. That means more than 60 consecutive good-form situps during my test.

I will do my exhaustion test either tonight or tomorrow morning.

I’m excited to mark this off this time!! 2 months ago

seeking~serenityThird time's the charm!

(Or, at least that’s what the all-elusive “they” say).

Started my third go at this goal last night. Went straight to the third week from my initial test. Surprisingly, I don’t feel any soreness this morning.

Anyways, Week 3, Day 1: Done!

I want…no, NEED…to get this darn goal of my list. Gotta CowGirl Up and just DO it!!! 2 months ago

seeking~serenityComplete the two hundred sit-ups program before my 71st Birthday! lol

Mmmk, I have started this damn goal again. I thought it was awesome when I stuck it on my list umteen years ago, but now it’s just bugging the heck outta me that I’m such a huge procrastinator and it’s still here! (insert explicit here)

I started last night.
Week 3, Day 1…ALL DONE!
:)

I am promising myself that I will complete this goal this time.
I may even replace my current personal challenge with my promise. 17 months ago

seeking~serenityWeek 4: Check!

It’s 3:30 am (guess my goal of get more sleep is feeling very sad right now, lol) and I figured I’d finish out my fourth week by completing the Exhaustion Test to see which column I’m headed for in week 6.

I was able to do 115 counts, comfortably. I know I could’ve done more but I wanted to do as many as I could, without a struggle. So, 115 lands me in column three (60 or more consecutives on exhaustion test). Coolio!

I’m looking forward to the end of week six when I can take the Final Test and be able to finally mark this darn goal as DONE! It’s been on my list for far too long!

Onward to week 5, yahoooo… 23 months ago

seeking~serenityAh! I'm behind!

I should be half-way into my 5th week (or wherever I end up after doing the next test at the end of week 4) but I just started week 4. I’m going to have to do a session everyday to catch up! That’s okay, though…I need it. I can feel the burn from this morning’s sets-gotta love that burn. ;) 23 months ago

seeking~serenitysuch a good burn

Today marks the completion of W3D2.
I got a later start on this than I was planning…
but I did get around to it. :)
Sexy tummy, here I come!

seeking~serenityStarting this...

Today! (=
It has been on my list for far too long; so many other goals I’d like to add!

On my initial test, I managed 40 good-form sit-ups, which allows me to bypass weeks 1 and 2, and go straight to week 3. Yay me. The schedule for 200 sit-ups is going to be opposite the schedule for the Couch to 5K Plan. That should work. I’m going to complete the first of my three days later this evening… 2 years ago
