wallerz is thinking of new things i'd like to do over the course of my life =

Well this make take some time! 2 months ago

When the time comes to get an Convertible i want to make sure its of a good standard. The Recession isn’t helping yet one day! I’m going to mini Cooper dealership Saturday but i doubt i can afford one at the moment.

too young to drive but already dreaming of a car 8 months ago

haha. I’m only 14, but i know that once i’m 16 i’m definitely going to ask for a nice little convertible. i’m not that big on what brand it’s going to be. But.. then again, i have to wait until i’m 18 until i can legally drive without adult supervision…

I love road trips...I want a convertible car. 11 months ago

Don’t get me wrong, my 83 Honda has always taken care of me. But nothing would be quite as nice as having the sunshine and wind in your face as you drive along. I want an older style one. Maybe a 60s convertible. 70s at latest. Someday….Someway…. I’m in no rush honestly.

Bending the rules somewhat 14 months ago

It’s stretching the boundaries to call it a convertible, as I always associate the term to mean cars with a folding canvas roof.

It may look like one, but my TVR is strictly speaking a targa, as it has two hard roof panels that lift off and are stored in the boot.

As cars go, it’s even more impractical than a true convertible, as you can’t really go anywhere with luggage when you have the roof down. However, it makes a glorious racket when you put the foot down – it may only be a three-litre V6 but it sounds like a V8. Sometimes when I’m driving it I think I’m going to need surgery to wipe the smile off my face!

Nineteen days until that convertible is mine : )

Convertibles are Fun 2 years ago

Actually I have owned 2 a 1988 Mustang GT and a 1998 Mitsubushi Eclipse Spider

I love my cabrio. Even if I don’t put the top down that often, I love having the ability to do it, and I have so much fun when I do.

almost as much fun as the motorcycle 2 years ago

I’ve owned my convertible for a LONG time – I hope to still own it when it qualifies as a classic! It’s a standard (stick shift), too, nothing could be better. Makes driving fun, whether it’s to work or for play. I used to drive it 60 highway miles each way when I commuted to college classes; I couldn’t stop smiling and strangers would honk and wave.

Tropicana Hana Has become a RADIANT RED HEAD and looks so good ♡

I love you car! 2 years ago

I finally got my first car! And ater having to nearly settle for a sedan I found the one! I had told my parents I’m too cool for a regular car, I’m a romantic I need a fabulous convertable to match my young free spirited lifestyle. My parents gave me a loan (I had about 7000 only) after much studying and convincing they were sold on the actual safety and performance of my car.

It’s the most awesome car ever especially for a first car in the summer. Summer is almost over though, but my convertable at least has heated seats. My parents loved the convertable so much they got their own new car, so nice! I’ve driven all over NY with my friends even when I’m freezing at night everyone insists the top stay down, during hot days it’s so relaxing to just drive around with friends out east. I love my car!

I’m a very good driver, I think the roads do get quite scary, that is why I am alert and passive (I’m very passive by nature, you’ll never see me with road rage or tail-gating, or even swirving if I miss a turn. Actually that is a problem: if I miss a turn, I will just keep going out of confusion and try to look for an easy way back lol) especially when I’m driving in an unfamiliar area. It doesn’t help that every other person has a GMC or that other freaky model that is black with the demonic grill that has an H on it, they tale-gate they have cars that could pretty much eat my car in one chew, but I do the speed limit when I’m not on the high way and I say “go around me because I’m not going over 30…” That’s the bad thing about a convertable… if you obey speed limit and piss off fast drivers they throw things at you as they speed by!!! I HATE YOU GMC. I hope all the people that drive you spontanelous combust along with their trucks, as well as drive off cliffs and go pummeling onto soft shoulders. All the worst.

Well, "own" in the sense of made a down payment 2 years ago

I figured the model I was looking at was starting to disappear from the market, and I could afford a payment or two before I changed jobs. So, I went down to Carmax (man, they make it a little too easy.)

How does it drive? ”...in touch with the road, starts like a bad day, stops on a peseta.”—Neal Stephenson.

It’s hot out here, so top-down driving is reserved either for the evenings or for days when I can lather on a bunch of SPF45 (curse my paleitude) but I’m soon driving this thing across the country to a place where it’s not so hot.
