I can mostly go through the steps with the video now, but still have trouble with the turning. I think a few more days and I’ll have it down.
How I did it: I went to a friend's party and got there early but had to leave early, so we started daning before everyone got there and the DJ wanted us to do the electric slide. I told him I couldn't and asked him to teach us and he did!

I’m recovering from surgery, and this is a form of dance that can be done low impact and slow. Just choose slower music and don’t pound the floor with your feet. A dear friend and her SO got me an amazon gift cert and I got Shawn Trautman’s Line Dance 101 – and the first dance you learn is the Electri Slide. I can walk through it with him, but can’t do it on my own yet. Still, it’s a good 10 minute work out for my recovering body.
I go a few times a month with a friend who’s been going for years. The best way to learn is to go to a country bar (where they actually do line dancing, mind you) and stand in the middle of a group of friendly-looking people who seem to know what they’re doing. Everybody I’ve met is always more than willing to share their expertise—they’re all been new, too. =)

It is so much fun. I recommend having a party and having everybody doing that dance it is fun with a lot of people. Also I recommend the Cha-Cha Slide Song it is like the electric slide but they actually tell you what to do.
the electric slide is fun :]]
but there’s a lot of different versions
if you really want to learn, i’ll try to teach you my version…

there is a song i heard last night at my highschool dance and it was teaching us the electric slide..does anyone know what that song is called or who sung it???
I must say nothing gets the party started faster then playing the electric slide, all of a sudden the room full of wallflowers is transformed into a sea of bodies, young and old all moving to the beat.
My sweetie’s friend had a wedding reception (very nice) and I did the electric slide, not with confidence, but I didn’t do to bad. I was rather pleased with my non coordinated dancing self.
My sweetie cheered me on.
I go to Calhoons every thursday night and they always do the electric slide….except for me. I have no idea how to do it and i can’t find anybody that is willing to teach me. HELP!!!
