I’ve got my A license and FS1 formation qualification in skydiving and I could’nt have done it without the tunnel! i think there amazing and very very fun the most ive done in one day is 1 hour 30 minutes of flying and i was shatterd! but its given me the oppurtunity to learn to freefly and get better at formation in the uk – because this summers sucks! :( whats with all the cloud. Bedford UK for formation, Airkix MK for freeflying – cost effective very friendly instructors would recomend it every time!

Awesome, and probably more beneficial in some aspects if you are a student. I am currently working on my AFF jumps, and it has improved my flying skills 10 fold. If you are a student I would recommend getting a coach. It is worth the money. You will learn a lot more with a coach as opposed to you just going in there and having the tunnel rat try to keep you stable.
Heres a video of me in the tunnel at Skydive Perris, California.
I journeyed to Eloy, AZ for the weekend, home of the largest wind tunnel in the world. It was a great experience. Sort of like freefalling, but not exactly. I was in the tunnel with a coach who helped me practice turns and various skydive manuevers. It felt safe and was fun. But after five 2-minute intervals, I was WIPED OUT! It’s pretty exhausting, but totally worth it. I did the equivalent of 10 skydive freefalls in the 10 minutes I did in the tunnel. It was great training for the additional 3 skydives I did this weekend. Woohoo! 2 more jumps before I get solo status!
so we get 262 days per year of intense cloud cover. everytime i’ve tried to get out to jump in the last couple of weeks, the weather has thwarted the plan. i’m guessing getting licensed through wind tunnel time could only be fun, and weather wouldn’t be a factor. woohoo.
